  • Ben Bergman – CEO
Syren Systems is Ben’s third medical software start-up, among a career of entrepreneurial ventures. As Founder and Executive Director of Takes All Types, Ben created the first global registry of blood donors, and pioneered the use of social media for donor recruitment.  At MASTERY Rehabilitation he grew the cognitive orthotic innovator to market leadership in nine states and Canada.  Ben brings deep experience in Sales, Marketing, Recruiting and Business Development in the Digital Media, Healthcare and Supply Chain sectors.  From his work as a digital media executive recruiter at Bond Media Tech to his multi-sector work for the Special Assistant for Technology in Chicago City Hall, Ben is ever mindful of the human factors that impact business. Accomplishments include an Innovation Award from the U.S. Department of Labor for MASTERY Rehabilitation Systems’ work with the Philadelphia Office of Vocational Rehabilitation; X-Box Live Arcade Wits & Wagers credit for social game content; and numerous by-line articles in Cognitive Rehabilitation trade publications from 1996 to 2000. He holds a Bachelor's of Foreign Service from Georgetown University, and pursued a Master's in Public Policy at the University of Chicago.
  •    Matt Gordon – CFO
Matt is an entrepreneur and investment banking professional.  Matt began his career as a mergers and acquisitions attorney, working for the largest and most established legal firms on Wall Street, including Sullivan & Cromwell and Fried Frank.  Matt left the legal field to run the US Operations and Global M&A group of Red Cube, a Swiss VOIP telecom provider.  With Red Cube, Matt helped raise over $200 million in equity capital, in addition to managing the domestic staff of 50 people. Matt implemented a new business plan that reduced cash burn by over 90% and accelerated revenues growth significantly.  Following Red Cube, Matt has been in the investment banking industry and has been a founder in both internet and medical device start-ups, in addition to being one of the co-founders of Takes All Types.  Matt attended Cornell University, where he received his BS in economics and policy analysis and the University of Pennsylvania School of Law, where he received his JD, with honors.  
  • Bill Schmitt – CIO
Mr. Schmitt is a hand-on Technology Executive who joined Takes All Types in 2008. Prior positions he has held include Chief Operations Officer for The Village Group, Senior Vice President, Technology, for Muze, and Database Manager at AirMedia. He also has over 20 years of experience in Professional Services with companies including: National Health Data Systems, The Service Bureau Company and Systar Technologies, managing large scale content-based implementations across the United States and Canada. Mr. Schmitt earned his B.S. degree from Fairfield University.
  • Jeremy Horn VP Product

Jeremy has a 10-year record of proven success, with more than 40 product strategies and over 50 user experience assessments.  He authors the popular ‘The Product Guy’ blog at tpgblog.com.  Jeremy founded and raised over $1.5M for comparison shopping engine SingleFeed.  For WhenU Jeremy spearheaded innovative product lines resulting in over $7M in new annual revenue.  He led the launch of 3 new products that jumpstarted PlasmaNet, resulting in compound double yearly revenues.  Jeremy holds more than 10 patents pending within the areas of contextuality and consumer products, and brings expertise in Social Networking, Location-based, Facebook Apps, Advertising, Virtual Worlds, Animation, Comparison Shopping, and Search.
